1956 Ford Thunderbird Dagmar

This vehicle grabbed my attention the moment I saw it during a local car show. I’m often drawn to certain aspects of vehicles that I find especially extraordinary. The bullets in front of the Thunderbird grill were beautifully crafted. Reminiscent of aviation design, these bullets encourage us to appreciate the skies and surrounding landscape. The reflections are an abstract delight for the eyes. I loved working on this piece as it really mixed realism with abstraction.

Colors used: Cadmium red/orange/yellow, Alizarin Red, Napthol Crimson, Paynes Grey, Colbalt/Cerulean Blue, Hookers Green, Burnt Umber, Titantium White, Naples Yellow.
