"Nostalgic" ("Hakosuka - Nissan Skyline GT-R)

We saw this amazing GT-R on a trip to Los Angeles in 2019. I have to admit that painting a silver car on gray asphalt on a gloomy, gray day was incredibly challenging. Most of my paintings are vibrant and full of color. I took some artistic license with this painting by adding some additional color and changing the background to have Mt. Fuji in the back (we've been to Japan 3x now and just loved it).
The sticker on the bumper says "Nostalgic". Definitely a fitting sentiment on this classic vehicle. I also enjoyed the polarized windscreen with the slight tint of green. I think it makes the windscreen even more interesting.
A bit about the Hakosuka: The "Hakosuka" is a nickname for the first generation Nissan Skyline GT-R, produced in 1969-1972. The name "Hakosuka" combines the Japanese word for "box" (hako) with the pronounced abbreviation of Skyline (Suka).
The Hakosuka was a groundbreaking sports car that dominated Japanese touring car racing events. Today, the Hakosuka is a highly sought after collector's iten, with only 1,945 units produced. Its legacy continues to inspire car enthusiasts around the world.
